The Founding Vision
Kevin Cheng founded MedBridge Shanghai after years of witnessing a painful gap: international patients with serious conditions often arrived in China without proper guidance, facing language barriers, opaque pricing, and fragmented care. Many paid too much, waited too long, or received mismatched treatment.
A serial entrepreneur with deep roots in cross-border business and a personal family experience with medical care abroad, Kevin set out to build a different kind of intermediary — one that puts patient outcomes first, publishes pricing openly, and never marks up hospital bills. Every case is handled by a dedicated coordinator who speaks the patient's language.
Today, MedBridge Shanghai serves patients from over 100 countries, partnering with JCI-accredited hospitals in Shanghai and across China. Our mission remains the same as day one: make quality Chinese medicine accessible, transparent, and human for the world.
