Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center (Fudan University affiliated) is a Class III Grade A hospital with over a century of history, founded in 1914. In 2004 it relocated to Jinshan as the municipal government's "No.1 Project" and now operates on two sites (Jinshan main campus of 503 mu plus a Hongkou branch), with 1,460 authorized beds. It is a WHO collaborating center for clinical research and training on emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. Key units: liver disease clinical center (severe hepatitis, MARS artificial liver, ascites reinfusion), tuberculosis center (TB surgery and pediatric TB), Shanghai AIDS Treatment Center, and the municipal center for critical maternal consultation and obstetric liver disease monitoring. Facilities include a BSL-3 biosafety laboratory, ECMO, 320-row CT, 3.0T MRI and DSA.
