Treatment for advanced gastric cancer has made new progress, with immunotherapy combination regimens bringing hope for long-term survival. The study included HER2-negative populations, with objective response rates significantly improved over chemotherapy alone, providing new treatment ideas for inoperable advanced patients.

Interpretation of research data

The study shows that immune checkpoint inhibitor combined with chemotherapy can significantly improve objective response rates and prolong progression-free survival. Adverse events were mainly controllable immune-related events, with good overall safety.

Treatment value

For HER2-negative advanced gastric cancer patients, treatment previously relied mainly on chemotherapy with limited efficacy. Immunotherapy combinations enrich treatment options, allowing some patients to achieve long-term disease control.

Treatment suggestions

Newly diagnosed patients can undergo molecular typing and medication evaluation at partner hospitals to clarify suitable combination regimens. Patients are advised to fully communicate with expert teams based on their own conditions.
